HSI's Candlelight Vigil

13th April 2019, Children's Memorial Park
Every April, the Office of Victims of Crime (OVC) helps lead communities throughout the country in their annual observances of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) by promoting victims’ rights and honoring crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf. This year, National Crime Victims’ Rights Week will be commemorated April 7–13, 2019. This year's theme is Honoring Our Past. Creating Hope for the Future. This year, Homicide Survivors honors NCVRW with a Candlelight Vigil at the Children’s Memorial Park on Saturday, April 13th from 6-8pm. This year’s theme celebrates the progress made by those before us as we look to a future of crime victim services that is even more inclusive and accessible. We know the healing power of coming together as a community, lighting a candle and saying the name of our loved one. That is why this special event remains one of HSI's annual traditions.
